Alaska Medicaid Introduces Well-Child Transportation Bus Pass Program

The Department of Health and Social Services and the Municipality of Anchorage are excited to introduce the new Well-Child Transportation Bus Pass Program.

Beginning February 1, 2020, free People Mover bus passes will be issued to Medicaid/Denali KidCare-eligible children and pregnant women through the Municipality of Anchorage’s mTicket application. Medicaid Care Management Program

The proposed regulations, if filed, will modify the criteria for participation in the care management program and significantly reduce the administrative burden on provider, contract, and state entities.

Health Facilities Licensing & Certification: Employee Health, Tuberculosis Screening and Testing

The proposed regulations, if filed, will replace current state tuberculosis screening/testing requirements with new federal (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) tuberculosis education, screening, testing, evaluation, and treatment recommendations for healthcare facility employees

Background Check Program: Application Fee

The proposed regulations, if filed, will increase the background check application fee, which has remained unchanged for more than 12 years, from $25 to $40

Medicaid Telemedicine Services Mode of Delivery

The proposed regulations, once drafted and if filed, will update and modernize telemedicine mode of delivery regulations.
